Bricklayer playing the piano

Alright, so after many months reading other peoples blogs and smirking in the background it's time for me to stop being so voyeuristic and to get 'involved'. But it's difficult and a confidence thing; surrounded by talented writers who seem to be able to turn an everyday account of humanity into something worth reading. What have i got to offer other than my own opinions, experiences and general comments on all that happens. I guess that's the point. Still feels like a bricklayer trying to play the piano but we shall all see. See you out there!

Now I'm just going to not do this if you start picking me up on editing points. this is exactly why it's taken me this long to post anything. Be kind, be patient and if you having nothing good to say just smile.

Glad to see you've finally joined us.

Be warned. It's addictive. Very addictive.

I find it's a good outlet for random crap that doesn't have a home anywhere else.

Occasional Poster of Comments said...

Just over a year ago, I was pretty adamant that I wouldn't blog, quite happy just being an occasional poster of comments (erm, hence the name). Then one or two people kept saying, "Why don't you?" (no, I wasn't watching re-runs of that old Welsh kids TV show - I'd have gone out and done something less boring instead, if that was the case). Which led to me one day finding myself thinking, "Hmm, I'm bored... Ah, I wonder what I might write if I wrote a blogpost." And the next thing I knew, there I was penniless in Falmouth (apparently the nonsense on my other blog helped get me on to the course, and the encouraging comments made me realise it might actually be worth me going ahead with the thing).

Oh, wait. This was supposed to encourage you...

Hello Mr-Cellany :)

I have messed around with my broken English and bad imagination for over a year now and it just gets better all the time. Although it is addictive. Mr Fox does complain all the time, but I think if you both blog, it'll be good.

Mate, it's better than on-line gambling, well cheaper anyway; but it's not that big a deal. There's no substitute for talking face to face to people, no subsitute at all. In saying that, I look forward to reading some of your postings. An old mate of mine from Edinburgh is a bricklayer; he's also a concert pianist!

Howdy.

No advice, no witticisms, no constructive anything really. Just wanted to say "hello".

I can think of a million things I'd rather be doing than blogging, but if you must... good luck xx

Dear Master Bricklayer,

I am glad, nay, excited to the point of swooning that you have decided to lay down your hod carrier and cemeting trowel and join the frey.

Think of us all gathered around our flickering screens, telling tales and generalling blogging it up.

Your friend

Lady Wight

Thanks for the encouragement. It seems a world of endless comments and chatter out here, the blogs you read only being half of it. I've a lot to catch up on!
